Prince William's Seat


The girl and myself joined a group of 20 for a Full Moon guided walk up to Prince William's Seat. Staying in Enniskerry, we met up with the group  in the centre of the town. A motley crew of friends, loners, locals, tourists, all of whom with the debatable exception of two french girls, were better equiped for unpredictable weather than we were.

A short drive in the mini-bus later we began our walk...

Powerscourt


A quick drive from Enniskerry, a few Polish couples, a large group of BBQing Chinese and the two of  us take in the beauty of the Powerscourt Waterfall.

Shanagarry

Be, Fi and myself head to Shanagarry to check out Finn McCool's fingers and the views, Cuilcagh to the West and Bruse Hill to the south. Cavan itself lies in its Hollow. After a mile of roads, that are not quite dirt-tracks, but more rally car & potholed that the girl's Mini is used to, we park. A 10 minute walk takes us pass the singing tree to a small clearing and the eponymous Fingers...
